With more than 20 years of experience in developing and implementing IT solutions across a diverse range of industries, Sam is an accomplished technology expert passionate about adding value to his customers’ businesses by leveraging technology, systems and innovation which drive strong information security and cost efficiencies.

In his hometown Sri Lanka, Sam completed a brief traineeship with John Keels, one of the largest Retail companies in Sri Lanka, before working in a number of roles developing his IT and Consulting skills, servicing small-to medium businesses.

As Manager Special Engineering Projects at PC House in Sri Lanka, Sam led a special Government sponsored project to plan, select, purchase and set up a series of IT laboratories in 550 schools across the country.   This also involved stakeholder management of overseas Suppliers and Subject Matter Experts from the University of Colombo.  As part of this project, Sam spent time in Taiwan learning about computer manufacturing before building the first computer assembly plant in Sri Lanka.

For two years, Sam worked in the Arthur C Clarke Centre for Modern Technologies which was established by the Sri Lankan Government in 1984 to accelerate the introduction and development of modern technologies.  He was one of only three Specialists contracted to develop compliance standards for all large-scale government technology tenders, and to complete compliance testing of all computer servers and programs prior to their installation into government departments.

After migrating to Australia, Sam established his first IT company in Brisbane, Net Cloud Technology Pty Ltd in 2011 and built a successful business providing IT and other technology Support services, mainly to Real Estate Agencies and Medical Practices.   He sees the establishment of Karma Technology & Consulting as merely taking the next step in growing and expanding the technology and other business consulting services available to customers.
